Vermin is upset that they are going to run out of trees to make his newspapers which he enjoys as part of his morning routine. Pungent explains to him that if all the world's trees are cut down to keep making newspapers and other "silly disposable items" we won't be able to breathe. Pungents family eventually agree they need to save the forests.
