About the catalogue

Archives and special collections that the university holds include:

  • Animation archives, which includes the archive of Oscar winning animator, Bob Godfrey, and oral history recordings of animators in their studios.
  • UCA’s institutional records, including the records of the former art schools.
  • Oral history records relating to UCA’s previous art schools.
  • Foundry Types Ltd. Concept typography drawings by Graphic Designers, Freda Sack and David Quay.
  • Tessa Boffin Archive, 1980s-1990s Photographer, specialising in sex, sexual fantasy and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues, who produced seminal work such as The Knight’s Move.
  • A Materials Library.
  • The Working Press, books by and relating to working class artists 1986-1996, correspondence and financial material. This is part of material collected by Stefan Szczelkun in context Working Press books by and about working class artists (Stefan Szczelkun special collection). The published books, Artist Books, and pamphlets are on the library catalogue.
