Peterlee was undertaken by Stuart Brisley and Tim Brennan. The work initially taken by Stuart Brisley in the 1970s took as its focus the construction of the main town, inducting participants to oral history and collating photographs, to produce a history of the town and see how it evolved in personal and public terms. Tim Brennan worked with Stuart Brisley to do a second stage of the project in 2004 (wanting to look at miner's strikes in 1984 for example).
