| AdminHistory | Formed in 1976 a volunteer-run organisation that was founded as The Type Directors Club by Maggie Lewis.
The Typographic Circle brought together people with an interest in Typography and type. They staged various events with different design groups.
The poster collection shows different typographic and graphic design, advertising talks and exhibitions put together by the Typographic Circle. Designers who presented at the TypoCircle events over the years, include Alan Kitching, Jonathan Barnbrook, Marina Willer and Snask.
In 2016 they celebrated their 40th anniversary by produced a history of the organisation. The accompanying large format book includes an essay Lynda Relph-Knight and research by designer and design educator Sallyanne Theodosiou.
